National Sales Center Interview

By Interviewer at 05/26/08 19:28

Name of your website?

National Sales Center

Your name?

Nick Moreno

Your Location (city, etc)

San Diego

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Nick Moreno and John Giaquinta found The National Sales Center to promote salesmanship. The Center is a place built by sales professionals for sales professionals and for those desiring to become sales professionals. The National Sales Center helps sales people increase sales and maximize profits by providing training and coaching services. In addition, the Center assists sales professionals to manage their careers by providing the skills to get a sales position as well as advice on interviewing for a promotion.

The founders have helped a wide range of companies and individuals dramatically improve their sales. Together, the staff at the National Sales Center has over 70 years of "in the field" sales experience.

Most of our work is done on DVD so it's there for the individual when they need it. Group seminar conference or convention training is also available on a limited bases.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The partners of the National Sales Center wanted to share their sales strategies with salespeople in need of improving their sales skills and sales results. We are inspired and passionate about developing and promoting excellence in salesmanship.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

The National Sales Center is out first site.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

If we had to do it over again, we would have picked a different name. We receive a large amount of International traffic to the National Sales Center. We should have named it the International Sales Center.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

When a person purchases one of our "Six Figure Career In A Box'", sales career training program, we give a copy to a charity involved in career training for the less fortunate. Our sales training is not based on some classroom theory. We use our combined 70 years of "in the field" experience to develop sales training programs that work to increase sales. All of our sales training programs are on DVDs or CDs so there there when you need them.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our goal is to change the traditional sales training methods with new and exciting programs that produce the desired results. We take great pride in the quality of our body of work.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The founders, Nick Moreno and John Giaquinta, put in 50 to 60 hours each week but they enjoy every minute. When time allows, the partners enjoy golf and fishing in Mexico.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would add more audio clips of our sales training programs so potential students could see first hand why this sales training is new, exciting and powerful.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

We are having no problem meeting the demand for our products and have plans to grow the DVD production as we introduce new sales training programs.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Our most unexpected cost had to do with building a high quality professional web site. We are now with our third web development team.

What has been your biggest challenge?

We are pleased with how things are going but SEO is always a challenge. We know we have great products but it is difficult to get the word out.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Out top promotion is posting sales training videos on the net. Many thousands have seen our sales training tips.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Working with Web developers continues to problem us. Scopes of Work are poorly written and never include what we think we are receiving.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Our site has been running for three years and we just want to keep going every day.

What is the number one joy your site brings to you?

Hearing that we changed the life of a once failing salesperson motivates us to keep doing our work. Our business is to grow other businesses and make others more successful.

What is your website address?

National Sales Center
