Please give us a short summary of your website?
Professional actors and actresses bring new fiction stories to life. Listen to audio books via podcasts, mp3's, and other methods!
What inspired you to launch your own website?
The growth and unlimited potential in the Audiobooks industry.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Unlike other sites that sell e-books or even audio books, NewFiction.com, launched in 2004, was not an ambiguous portal onto shopping elsewhere on the web, rather NewFiction offers its content simply and directly to you through its website. The world that NewFiction has created for you is at once a result of dynamic literary imagination; courtesy of NewFiction’s in-house team of cutting-edge authors and a cast of high-caliber interpretative dramatic artists.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It sounds wonderful... New + Fiction. With such high daily demand for new fiction stories, our site is always on the lookout for new talent to showcase. Current new fiction stories include titles such as Word Lotto, Jake & the Jamokies, The Venus de Milo Murders, Fat Cowboy, I Betcha and Senate Parking, with more titles on the near horizon.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Readers can subscribe to daily installments of a number of audio books for free, to be heard by web browser, podcast, or email at the rate of their choice. Subscribers can also choose to receive a text version in the equally classic serialized novel version. The extreme flexibility of media type and platform makes them accessible virtually anywhere, anytime. A few moments of free time waiting for a movie or a date becomes a quick update on the latest plot twist.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To make it the biggest audiobook portal on the world wide web!
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It has been wonderful! Newfiction.com has made tremendous progress in the audiobooks industry and its still growing! This gives us courage, motivation and determination.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Its already a premium quality portal that provides fictional stories in the form of audio books for easy, daily download to email, cell phones, and other electronic media.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Sure thing....
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
It has proper financial backing now, so keeping it going is not at all a problem.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Making it the no. 1 site in its industry.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
A balanced approach of media buying, online marketing and promotional events.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
What a Great Experience ! We truly enjoyed ourselves. We were excited from the day when we started this site. We also played it on other sites and got massive response from our listeners! The buzz was generally positive and several newspapers, bloggers and portals published about Newfiction:

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Since 2004 and we dare to make it forever...
Replace this with a question of your own
