Please give us a short summary of your website?

This website provides and introduction into the amazing martial art called capoeira. It's very unique in that it incorporates fighting, dance, music, singing and culture into one practice. Due to this diversity, it's often hard to explain it fully, which is what this site serves to do.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

After starting capoeira in January of 2008, I began learning so much information. I got more and more involved, and others wanted to learn more about what I was doing. I would usually take forever explaining it to them and wouldn't give a complete picture. I decided to create a website to encompass everything I'm learning and introduce the art to others with no exposure.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

It is designed from a beginner's perspective. Other capoeira websites are awesome, but they don't really cater to the beginner. This site has information which is key and extremely useful to those wanting to understand and get into the world of capoeira.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I want to keep updating it with as much useful capoeira information as possible. Hopefully it'll become a leading website recommended around the world to those wanting to learn about capoeira.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I started the site back in September of 2008 and I plan to keep it up as long as I continue capoeira. It's more of a passion than a chore.
