When did you start your website and why?
Started website in May of 2007. Had this business for 7 years as a part time business, and feel now is the time to bring it out and really make it happen. My primariy business is a faux finishing studio and kept this as a niche market business, I now know it is time to go mainstream as Arizona is finally open to a green concept of cleaning.
Please give us a short summary of your website, business model, etc
We clean carpets, upholstery, tile, air ducts, dryer vents and mattress with strictly green cleaning solutions powered by truck mounted equipment. When we say are products are green, they are truly plant based compounded ingredients, not just a green mention on the label. We value our clientelle and do not take them for granted. We don't schedule appointments so closely together so we are able to leave time for a through cleaning and an exttra moment if the client has questions about general green cleaning.
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
It is still in process, would like to add an e-commerce section and provide usefull and unique items for the cleaning consumer. Of couse SEO, etc. Also the visuals, would like it reasuuring but not boring.

What was your biggest mistake?
Not creating a website sooner.
Who maintains your website and why?
I do. mainly all I do is the SEO and the registering as my budget does not allow me to pay anyone else yet.
Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?
SInce the website and SEO efforts, my business has doubled. Have also met and networked with like minded business since the website launched and that is rewarding on many levels.
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
It is just the tip of the iceberg. Every area of consumer purchasing has been transformed, even one's most expenisve investment, their home is now searched on the web first.

Registering it with directories, pay for click, linking
What method has been least successful for promoting your website?
Adding it to Craig's list, yellow pages, that type of advertising, hard to stand out.
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
Not well versed enough
How do green companies compete with traditional non-green companies?
By having the same performance bar, not a green bar and a parallel traditional bar. Especially with the advances in technology, green or otherwise there are no longer two models. That misconception is a current struggle to overcome but is attainable with each satisfied client.
