Affordable Nannies is a nanny placement service. Our experienced nannies work around your schedule. Ask about our Share A Nanny program. Our nannies undergo extensive background and drug screen checks.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I am the founder of the Mobile Mothers of Twins Club. Everyone came to the meetings compaining about how their children were always sick in daycare and how they could not find a good sitter. This is the inspiration behind Affordable Nannies.

I launched my website 6/2/2008
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I used my company name to make it easy for parents to find.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
My website shows the different ways a nanny can help a family as well as quotes from parents who use our service.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To promote my business.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
My business has taken off very quickly. Within the first week I was placing nannies.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would advertise the website on billboards and ads on the internet.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Trying to get exposure on the internet with out spending a fortune. Headaches have been learning about website building and internet placement as I go along.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting my website to show up in a search.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Filling out forms on websites that have directories.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I have not had my site running long enough to tell.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have only had the site for a few days. I will keep it up as long as I have the business.
